I'd say, step up a bit further and go for the Fire HD 10 Plus.

Since the trade in discount is in percentage, you get more $$$ discount. And the extra RAM could make it comparatively more usable in future pushing forward when it's time for the upgrade.

But the HD 10 Plus. That;s the way to go. Bought mine a couple of weeks ago, but since I had a bunch of Kohls bucks, bought it there and bought 2 to get the $75 off of two. Then just sold one. But this is the best deal now with out the hastle.

$45 for the 8plus would be Slick. As it stands, $15 less than 'regular' price of $60 for the 8non-plus is not that great.

oh you can "hack" it and get google playstore and have access and install all of playstores apps.
