Was looking at this item and watched vacuumwars video linked above, looks like a strong value with Lidar and specs similar to Roborock as Chris called out in his video. Thought this might be helpful for others as well! I'm in for one!

in for one as well, amazon has the shark self emptying for 329, but the i-home has Lidar, 300 for a self emptying seems like a great deal, plus vacuum war review was good enough for me to try

The Shark is the 2nd generation at $319, and from what I have read it does have a new system to map but still can't exactly find the exact system it is using.. So not sure what would be better Shark mapping with 2nd gen which is a lot better than the 1st gen or the iHome with Lidar.

Edit:
The iHome does seem to be a better deal and Shark hasn't exactly posted on what the 2nd generation is using and there haven't been any updates if it has improved the hardware and software.

I have the first gen shark and it's a POS. I mean I got it for cheap because of kohl's cash and stacking coupons at the time ($250ish I think). I can deal with it getting lost from time to time but it will dock and not even come off the dock until you go flip the power switch on and off. It works for what it is, but we paid to be beta testers. The app is legit garbage and still never got better over the park year.

Seems to be very loud and weak suction and battery life. Self-emptying is nice....

I'm in for two. For the features, seems like a nice deal. Thank you OP

Looks like you have to order it on the website for this price. I grabbed one and it checked out at 399. Returned it and bought it on the web for 299 with same day pickup. Oddly the Walmart app shows 399. Using the web got 299.

Any updates from those who bought this vacuum? Does it do well on carpet and hardwood?

I got the Eufy g30 last week. And I am little dissatisfied. It keeps getting stuck so I think Lidar is very important for me. Going to return that one. Ordered Wyze and this one but I think I will return the Wyze and keep iHome Nova.

Got one. Seems to work fine. A bit loud, but not even close when comparing to upright vacuums.

Just for a quick review I have had it for about 3 days now, the software and the robot are GREAT when it comes to vacuuming it maps out the entire floor and you can great zones to clean.

My plan was to create a zone away from our bedroom and vacuum at 4am, then a second zone at 10am to vacuum the bedroom etc. Everything worked GREAT it avoided almost everything in the 10x I ran it but did stop once when it ate a usb c cable and went into "resting" mode and didn't damage the cable.

The downside is that the mop feature didn't work like I had intended it to.

For the hardwood floors it did fine and for the tile in some rooms it did fine. However when I set it to run in the kitchen where the tile is the type that's shineyish ( think early 2000s ) when it would get wet the robot wouldn't get traction and just spin in circles. It also wouldn't mop some areas and vacuum other like I had hoped, once you physically put the mop attachment on it mops everything and you need to set "no mop" boundaries.

We mainly bought it for the kitchen since that's the floor that tends to get the most dirty so I am going to return it, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I needed only a vacuum ( but we have another robot that does that already )

Another quick review:
This is my first robot vacuum and I am impressed! Very easy set up and the software appears very robust. The self emptying feature in my mind is key- this way you can set up a schedule and let it do its thing for a couple of months.
Haven't tired mopping feature yet as that takes more intervention.
I do have to say my floors are cleaner and I don't have to vacuum anymore!
Overall I'm very pleased with this model at the $299 price point!

This deal is long expired but I just wanted to give everyone who might be researching this unit an update. If you have hardwood floors, avoid this unit. It works GREAT on carpet but for hardwood (our whole house except 2 bedrooms) it just collects hair in large clumps, even on max suction. I would return it if I could. My old Botvac Connect worked waaaay better.
