As a brand I would highly recommend Sony TVs. Every Samsung I have owned has lasted less than a year and a half and have been Wayover priced for what you get. My five year old 75 inch Sony is still going strong, and it's on 12 hours a day

My $2000 Samsung plasma lasted 13 months, just one month after the warranty expired. It literally got so hot that it warped the frame. My electricity bill went down $100 a month after it died, good riddance

my 2008 samsung 65" plasma is barely going out ,so far in random times itll click and turn off

Only LG does IPS. VA has better contrast and deep blacks. IPS has better viewing angles.
