Got this last year and helped my young son build it. It's def a unique and cool looking set. Lego hardly ever goes on sale, so $10 off is actually pretty good for lego.
Wasn't a tough set either. My 8 year old got tripped up a couple times by minor things, but overall pretty easy.
I actually have it in my office next to my work computer as it is a beauty.
Apparently there is a 3rd party lighting set that make it look even better in the dark, but not sure if I want to go that route just yet.
The execution is beyond meh. It looks anemic, plain and just bleh.
I wish it was more (or better, or something) pieces for a more detailed build. As is it just looks meh. Wish someone would make a great one - like this https://smile.amazon.com/Nifeliz-...08Y1HBW7J/ but in a bottle (yes I know it's not even a lego). And I know it would obviously cost more but I'd pay it for a truly displayable piece.
Till then I'm on the sidelines.

In for one! Great price, not as much of detail as I would like (if it does, probably going to cost a lot more...) but still a nice looking set for display.
There's something wholesomely ironic about this set, which is that this is exactly how ships in a bottle are not made with the bottle being stuck together from individual pieces lol

yeah, might as well build ANY lego set and put it under glass, like a snow globe.
a real ship in the bottle is a real 1 piece bottle with thin neck that you put the pieces in one at a time.
then you put it together IN the bottle with long tools.
