Are people buying this TV because it is good or for the size?

I dont believe all of the Sams Clubs got the 85 inch Vizio in-store. Vizio delayed this one for a while, it was supposed to come out last Fall, but I never saw it instock at any store. The reviews have been good so far, brightest HDR, 2.1 features work well on next gen consoles. No Gsync if you need it.

I was deciding between this and the Sony X900H but went with the Vizio after seeing how the Sony is slightly more reflective and not as bright. I'm sure for many it may not make any difference but since this will be going in a bright room for me that swayed my decision. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10

I'm impatiently waiting for my first gen M series 70" to die so I can upgrade. This damn thing has thousands of hours on it and operates like new. We usually leave it on overnight after turning streaming box off because screen is dark and looks like it's off. I disagree with your comment about premature failures. And I got a 5 year warranty that I never got to use.
Mine just died two weeks ago….M70 2015 model

I have the 2019 version. One of the most amazing non-oled displays you'll find. The only thing ruining it is the abysmal ui and software. It's complete garbage and flat out unusable. If you have a streaming stick or device, this tv is great though

How is the HDMI CEC on this TV?

I chose this model based on https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...82-85-inch and a friends suggestion of this TV being amazing.

Both. Just the user interface sucks on it is its biggest downfall. If you use a external piece of hardware for video like Roku, Nvidia Shield, PC, etc. this TV checks almost every single box you can think of in features and has extremely good picture quality.

Vizios fail a couple of months after warranty expires. Complaints all over forums. Would rather buy the Sony.
I have had my Vizio 55" m-model since 2016 with no issues.

Do you need the membership to get the 3 year warranty? It says Members Only on the 3 year warranty picture.
I saw the same picture and can't find the answer. It says manufacturer warranty so I would assume u just need to contact vizio.

Also, there's a $199 processing fee for non-members on this deal. But it gave me a $45 gift card for buying the $45 membership. And add $99 shipping there are no other pickup options.

Total price $2310.42 (in las vegas) without the extra warranty
Still bought it Smilie

You can save the $99 shipping fee by upgrading to the Plus Membership for $55.

RTings is supposed to update their review of this Vizio unit, after the January firmware updates, which likely address documented VRR issues in the review.
