Great price and just got one from costco other week. Local sams store has stock and OOS for shipping. I don't think I can get to the store in time to buy it.

I like your manager better than mine. FWIW...when I purchased a Samsung (3 yr mfg included) last year, I was interested in extending the warranty with the Allstate plan, and the manager told me what I said in my post. She then showed me in the warranty literature that the 4 yr warranty starts the day of the warranty purchase, which has to be within 30 days of the TV purchase.
