! I've been looking around for a 12000W generator and found this Pulsar with dual fuel that can be swapped between gas and propane without having to turn off the generator. I haven't found any others within this price range.Updated Pricing to $859 at Walmart plus $49.97 equals a total of $908.97. Home Depot's has the same model which is $891.89 which ends up being cheaper after Walmart shipping. Another member has stated they were able to get Home Depot to price match the Walmart pricing with free shipping. Also, Sam's Club has it for $899 with free shipping. Check to see if you have any 5% cash back cards for either store to get a best discount since they are all close in total cost.

why not go with the duel fuel version off wallmart (3rd party) for 899 free freight. I bought the df one off ebay couple weeks ago for 868 free freight (no sales tax florida). I think the deal with these pulsars a lot seem to ship from canada but seem made in vietname like the duromax. Either way i'm sure they're LOUD as freak and only good if you're really in the boonies or in a SHTF situation which is why i got mine. Haven't unboxed it yet.

oh nevermind i misread, long day is the df version

for some reason i was thinking the G12KBN was the df version. Seems only difference i can find is the switch in go to switch fuel sources. both df, both electric start, both low oil shutoff.

Yeah, i compared the G12KBN to this PG12000B and only thing i saw different was this version had the Switch N Go feature and since the G12KBN lowest was $800, but for $39 more i like the Switch N Go feature. unfortunately that $49 freight cost is brutal though.

I still pulled the trigger since Home Depot also had it on sale for $891 but just increased their cost up to $936 about an hour ago. I was arguing with their customer service to try and match Walmart haha

I was going to say to get a SamsClub Membership as they want 899.99 shipped but this with shipping is cheaper.

I gotta be honest. I bought this generator on Home Depot last year. I've had nothing but problems with it. It starts just fine on both gas and propane. The engine is great. The issue is that it doesn't push power to the outlets. I'm on my second one after I RMA the first and the exact same issue. Working with Pulsar now on trying to find a repairman in my area but it's been a really frustrating experience getting 2 powerless generators. Buy with caution is all I'm saying

Thats not reassuring :-( planned on running this to a 50 amp generator inlet plug that will be tied to my main panel to power my 2,200+ sq ft home excluding my central HVAC. ill use space heaters and portable AC units i have from my old home. My neighbor has a 2,800+ sq ft home that he uses a 7,500W generator to power everything but his HVAC.

Hard to find but seems to be less than 5% based on some comments from people who've called the manufacturer. I'm surprised they don't advertise it if that's the real number, because that's pretty good.

I personally have an inverter generator to power electronics but some people seem to be fine not worrying about it and run whatever they want without much issue

I saw the same thing regarding most Pulsar are created with >5% but the formal reviews all show THD as Unknown. i already have a APC UPS that i use for my modem, router, and security surveillance system. I plan to run an extension cord for my 65" OLED TV off the UPS to clean power it. The rest like my Frig, Freezer, Microwave, Gas oven, other knock off brand TVs and ceiling fans, and lights i plan to run off the generator through the transfer switch

yeah, tough to tell by reviews they're all 1/2 bad no matter the brand, no way they're not all coming out the same factories.

I got tired of looking and just decided to roll the dice like the rest of crap these days.

A generac /briggs/ kohler standby would be better choice, home standby's in this wattage don't seem badly priced considering you get sound weather enclosure, self test, can go auto switch etc. However they're lpg or ng only...and my house runs off the lpg I don't want to dig into that supply at a high burn rate except as last resort after exausting the lpg tanks and gas supply.

I think generac is great if you can add it to the mortgage… but right now it's 6 month waiting list anyways.

yeah the briggs and generacs were eoy for delivery.

the small ones aren't too bad comparatively assuming these larger gas bangers at 30% more $ than they were crap out soon. But yeah no availability. It'll add up if you start trying to rig up an enclosure of some type too, the gap narrows. There's code too about having gas gens too close to the house as well. Some of the enclosures i see people rigging up gas generators right next to the house seems nuts

I bought the same one and saw the HD price was about the same after taking into account Walmart shipping rate. Main difference for me was that Walmart customer service is better (in my opinion). Anyone have an idea on how much it costs to get a 50 amp interlock kit installed so I can hook it up to the main breaker?

Do you know what's the return policy with this? Can I take this directly back to store ? Do they arrange pickup ?
