it's this price pretty often, but good deal. stack with 50 off 500 coupon code. someone else suggested bolting the safe to the ground to make it more secure.

If you have carpeted floor, you can use smooth plastic (I used the lids of plastic containers) to slide this around.

I have this safe. To move it, take the door off, just open it halfway and slide it up the pins. Now, it's about 100lbs lighter. I moved this into my basement myself using a dolly.

"Also, this is usually delivery to driveway or garage, but a little bit of a $ tip will get the delivery driver to give you a bit of a hand getting this closer to where you need it."

From my experience, if it's delivered by FEDEX or UPS you'll be lucky if they get it to door. YMMV.

340 pounds... wow
That's a good thing. It means if they manage to find it, it'll be extremely hard to move, much less one burglar trying to move it. Though I'd still anchor it to something solid.

with safes generally the heavier the better, else its too easy for 2 guys and a hand truck to wheel it away and get it onto a truck.
Most safes have bolts for the floor to secure it..and it looks like this one does as well.

What's stopping a couple of burglars from using hula hoop and a dozen or so of golf balls to move it out of the house?

Can't pick it up if it's bolted to the floor, in the the basement.

I really like how Costco is offering exotic items these days alongside their stock of toiletpaper and hotdogs - $4k mountain bikes, massive bank vaults, cars. Maybe they'll start offering pre-fab homes before too long!

Why would they need to wheel it away? They'll just hold a gun to your head and force you to open it after the guy processing the order and prepping it for shipping sells them your address.

Hey - I've got a couple of Sears & Roebuck homes just a little ways down the road from me. Of course, those came in a kit, Ikea style (but without the allen wrenches).
