Wifi dashcam mobile apps are always sketchy as hell, the last one I tried wanted Device Administration access just to turn on auto-rotate and I couldn't use the app without it and the camera itself had no screen. Luckily it seems like you don't have to use the app with this one. I like my older Viofo dashcam in this style.

I have the pro duo and in my opinion, YES many times. Why? I do not know, Do I need 4k? probably not. Peace of mind? Absolutely

The only con is that a single 1 minute video is like 500MB or so. So you would have to get a bigger endurance microsd

128GB should be sufficient, make sure you get the endurance version, that is suited for surveillance

Read somewhere that Buffered Parking Mode is no longer available on the A129 Plus Duo. A deal-breaker for me.

My 2 cent. Don't go for pro if in hot weather. Device has a heat sink but it still goes to thermal shutdown in CA, CO summers.

60fps front is more important than 4k imo
super capacitor
gps
dual-band wifi & app access
multiple sentry modes

just add a $15 3-wire hardwire kit and you're set
