This is a REAL deal....I already purchased 3 single outlet models that cost close if not more than this one which would provide two power monitoring outlets. Sadly those have already shipped so I couldn't cancel them and order more of these.

Taken from the product DESCRIPTION, not the reviews or Q&A:

Only work on 2.4ghz band WiFi.

My system at home is set with band steering, which means it will select 5Ghz if possible but still available for legacy hardware. With these, that created a problem. Once I created a 2.4Ghz only SSID, these connected fast and have worked perfect!

The SAME BRAND? The price looks right but I'm not sure of this brand. I have a feeling you might have some more "name brands.". If so, don't feel like you missed out cause off brands now give me pause after some high failure rates on no name smart products.

Seems a bit like a Chinese brand. Any way to turn off data harvesting in the app?

Some buyers have concerns about a burning smell.

Is this another cheapo product from China or a legit company?

I keep around an older smartphone that only does the 2.4Ghz band for these types of products. Otherwise my 1st gen eero mesh router will use the 5Ghz band on my daily driver. The 1st gen eero really needs a firmware fix for this as it will not allow band selections!

Based in Shenzen, China, but their website claims founded in the US:

Looks totally legit!

Maybe I'm wrong but seems not too legit.

No obviously not the same brands...one was wyze and the other was kasa I think but brand name is pretty much irrelevant once you know it uses the tuya protocol....there are multiple apps that will support that and I can tie it into homebridge without even using their app.

If it smells like melting plastic then it goes back to amazon...you oughta know within the first 30 minutes how it's gonna perform. I don't plug space heaters or other heavy duty items into these....for the crockpot in the kitchen or the lamp in the living room they do what they should.

If you don't like this one there is a different brand linked to from that same page for about $.50 cheaper that is also a dual outlet and uses tuya/smartlife.
