Everything is marked up. I'm not sure this is worth the hassle as the $30 has to be used on the same instacart Costco site. So you're spending $150 on items that are marked up and then have to spend the $30 you got on items that are marked up.

For most of the pandemic i switched to sameday delivery instead of instore purchases and realized i spend less overall at costco if i dont go in the store.
Even with the mark up prices on sameday and delivery fee , my per trip costco bill turned out to be an average $20 less in the last 12 months. Just shows i have no impulse control in store at costco, especially when taking the wife and kids to the store.

Great, now add Costco to the list of sellers playing stupid games. Ugh, I hate when companies start doing this crap. Just lower the high online prices Costco so your loyal paying members can order food and supplies, and have it delivered at a reasonable price, especially during these times, and skip the $30 "future credit" nonsense.

Normally, I'd agree with you. I say the exact same thing all the time. It's a little different in this situation, though, as it is really InstaCart that is offering this deal, not Costco. Now, of course, Costco had to go along with it, I'm sure, but InstaCart does these deals at various retail grocery stores, and this is just the latest.

I'm pretty sure it's only on InstaCart. This is the same type of thing that InstaCart does all the time at other stores, and it has to be done via InstaCart.
