Dell uses 2 different panels. I am pretty sure this is the lower 250 nits, or they would have advertised the better one Frown Other than that, it seems like a solid machine, but check the reviews on the hinges. They have had problems in the past with them breaking, especially on the flip/ touch screen versions

Here is one review: Cons: touch screen is not useful, it would better to replace touch screen with higher color (RGB) screen. Fan noise is a little loud.

I jumped on it but then realized in time that 5700U is still Zen2 based. Just in time so I was able to cancel and avoid Dell restocking fee

Didn't say 250 is good. Just stated the fact.

At this price, it's hard to find 300 nits. Even 300 won't make a big difference under the sun.

Since I don't watch dirty videos outside, it's OK.

Yea, in the Dell Power Manager program. you can set it to hold it between 50%~100%, there's slider you can play around. I choose mine to hold at 80%.

Set the "processor performance increase threshold" to 85% , turn system cooling policy to passive to keep it as cool as it can and prevent the fan to turn on.

One thing kind of bothers me is the right click on the touchpad. Mine does not register when I press it, I hear the click not the right click option won't show up, can anyone share their touchpad experience? I can always use 2 finger touch to enable the right click option, since I do like this laptop not sure if I should to return it.
Thanks for the feedback. The comment regarding USB-C charging makes it even more tempting. I went for the deal. Repped! BTW, SD 2.5% and urlhasbeenblocked don't stack. Hopefully the highest CB wins.

No problem, Make sure you use 65W or higher USB C charger, I tried 60W and the laptop keep giving notification says not enough wattage, but still is able to charge it just slower.

It's matte finished, I use it indoor most of the time so 250nits is fine with me.
If you put it side by side with OLED or MacBook pro... you can tell the difference.
I compare it with my Samsung Galaxy Book Pro(which I returned) and MacBook Pro 16, and yes the color isn't that vivid, but I think it look better than my HP Pavilion 15 from Costco (also 250 nits, glassy finish).
I got this laptop without much discount last time for around $907 after tax - $120 AMEX discount, and thought it's pretty nice deal already.
Love the mist blue color, can't find a YouTube video showcase the color, I might make a simple video of this laptop just to show the outer shell. Black keyboard is a plus with backlit function. The older model all have silver keyboard which is hard to see in the dark with backlit turn on.

Hello Everyone,

Can someone please help me decide which laptop is the best strictly for gaming (rocket league, fortnite, etc)? Please look at the ram and cpu of each, as all of them will meet my daily office needs / I would be happy with the format, size, build quality, etc of all of them and they are all around similar price after discounts (500-600 with amex offer).
