Was $202 shipped for me after taxes and shipping for the 16" chainsaw. Still a good deal I think. I purchased a refurb battery previously and it would not hold a charge. Ego addressed this by sending me a replacement battery and didn't even ask for me to send the other one back. Ego buyer for life! Thanks OP!

Was $202 shipped for me after taxes and shipping for the 16" chainsaw. Still a good deal I think. I purchased a refurb battery previously and it would not hold a charge. Not for me, not this time.

Their time to ship was around a month when I bought the M12 lantern and battery earlier this year. The lantern came first by a couple of weeks. When I asked where the battery was, their customer service asked if I still wanted it. :/

That happened to me as well with a free battery promotion. It must be how their system is setup that it doesn't show an item is free?

Any other experience with this vendor? I've been holding out for Ego's hedge trimmer for awhile, but this seems like the best deal so far.

Thanks, I've had the hedge trimmer on my Amazon list waiting for a price drop from the regular $199 price. Getting this for $118 was an easy decision, even if refurb, as I know Ego is great about warranty and this still comes with 1 year.

I've successfully purchased from Acme about a half dozen times - some small issues as it's a business but nothing to fuss about. By my experiences, and eGo as the "mfr," you should be ok.

Was looking into it myself. $434 total. They add a separate $25 handling fee. At this price I'd rather just pay full price with the 5 year warranty rather than 1 year on a reconditioned product.

What's reconditioned the battery or the tool? Which one is the one to usually fail? Maybe it's a good deal on the battery alone?
