Was $202 shipped for me after taxes and shipping for the 16" chainsaw. Still a good deal I think. I purchased a refurb battery previously and it would not hold a charge. Ego addressed this by sending me a replacement battery and didn't even ask for me to send the other one back. Ego buyer for life! Thanks OP!

I purchased an ego tool from acme last black Friday. Great price and zero issues with this retailer. FWIW

I felt buying a reconditioned tool was fairly safe, but I've avoided buying reconditioned batteries. The bare tool I received from acme looked like new, runs great.

In for a snowblower. Now I'll have 3 batteries & 2 chargers

Bought an ego lawnmower 2 years ago from ace and couldn't be happier!

I tend to agree, but still a pretty big price difference. Isn't the new one around 800 or so with 2 5a batteries?

The one I was looking at on the Ace site is the same one they sell at Lowe's for $599 with the 2 5Ah batteries.

I'm guessing the carbon string trimmer kit is the way to go as it's only $30 more than the bare tool. Could probably sell the battery and charger for $60-80.

Yep, you're absolutely right. On both ace and Lowe's. I was looking at the 7.5 battery version. I agree that the savings aren't worth it then.

I have bought refurb ego from Acme non stop. Pissed I paid the 210 for this and see this now but oh well.

First the chainsaw, make sure you buy the oregon brand bar and chain oil because they designed the chain. it's available on acme for cheap and hard to find locally. Works great, little kickback and just shreds, they come with gen 1 older type battery doesnt show %.

Then I bought the blower and hedge trimmer and then the string trimmer when they had the last deal.

All working great look 90%+ to new although I can't guarantee that the batteries will last but the units themselves are fantastic, no/little heat from brushless. I bought all the refurbs with batteries so if one or two dies due to "refurbidity" I won't be crawling to Lowes to pay $200-400.
