No. I believe you can self-monitor without a subscription - meaning you will get alerts on the phone and you need to act on it yourselves. Pro monitoring requires a subscription and they can act on the alerts by calling you and then cops, if needed.

I considered it, but have other cams and didn't see a particular benefit to getting this one. Also, I think it's advertised as the Indoor Cam which is $60, so I didn't see it as much of a savings.

The Echo Show 5 seems tiny and I believe the reviews have been pretty poor (at least the 1st generation, and I saw no indication this bundle is the 2nd generation).
