Be advised. 18' reach means it's about 16' long. Completely vertical. I have the heavy duty 17' and it can't reach my 14' header beams in my loft.

This is not an 18' ladder. It measures 14'10" and the 18' is the reach height. That should be false advertising.

This is not an 18' ladder. It measures 14'10" and the 18' is the reach height. That should be false advertising.

I agree. I feel more stable on these than the typical A light weight ladders. I painted my back house about 300 sqft and covering the windows and misc. before spray painting was a workout. Extending it to up and down wasn't bad but moving it side to side was a upper body workout.

I love the fact that I can get on one side and somebody else can get on the other but for some of the smaller jobs is easier just to get a small step ladder

Yes is does when you do it for straight 2 hours in the middle of the day in Tx and I'm 45, but I got the costco brand that came with wheels.

I purchased one of these today for my new home. Funny thing is that when I picked it up at the store I was surprised by how light it is. Smilie My last extension ladder was probably made 30 years ago, they are definitely much lighter now.

For what it's worth, the ladder weighs 30.5 lbs

I lift the purple weights... In all seriousness it's manageable but when you're carrying it around and trying to maneuver it it gets heavy and awkward.

They're built like a tank and I would not feel any safer on anything else but it's definitely not like a fiberglass one. I think the one I have is about 40 lb but again for inside jobs that are very tall just get a quick step ladder

For the price and stability I think it's worth the weight. Now I'm debating on selling my 8ft fiberglass A ladder
