For anyone who cares, here's the math of best-case savings percentages on these tiers (best-case meaning you spend only the minimum required):

Get 15 when you spend 200 = 15 / 215 = 7.0 %
Get 25 when you spend 300 = 25 / 325 = 7.7 %
Get 70 when you spend 600 = 70 / 670 = 10.4 %

And yes, you have to include the future purchase in the calculation because these are credits, not discounts.

For Prime Members: Use the Amazon app and place orders totalling $600 today (6/22) and receive a coupon worth $70 back. $300 gets $25. $200 gets $15.

Click this link to check eligibility:
https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&...1423113011

If you are a Prime member and it does not show as eligible, uninstall your Amazon Shopping app, check eligibility again, and then reinstall the app.

Orders MUST be placed using the Amazon Shopping app. Only orders placed on 6/22 count. The spend can be spread across multiple orders. Coupon will be received through an app notification by 7/3.

Gift card purchases, fees, taxes, discounts, gift wrap and shipping and handling costs are excluded when determining the total amount spent. Customers will not receive credit for cancelled or returned orders.

Bought the Samsung CRG9 monitor deal last night at 2 am PT on my phone app for $899. If this particular deal doesn't require me to do anything, I guess I would be qualified...hopefully.

Did anyone get the notification from Amazon after placing the order using the app?

Does it have to be one whole purchase or can it be accumulative

Theres 2 different things there -

1) Cancelling a preorder/unshipped order should not count negatively towards your account at all
2) Cancelling a "preparing for shipment" order (they might not be able to cancel it, but they'll try) MAY count negatively towards it, but probably not.
3) Cancelling a shipped order (fulfilled by amazon) where they return it to sender MAY count negatively towards your account
4) Returning an order once received DOES count negatively towards your account (as do asking for discounts on orders via chat/phone)

If you have 20 preorders and cancel them, then re-order 20 of them.. you're fine.
If you have 20 orders that are delivered and you're returning them to re-buy again, you'll probably have an issue

I wouldn't consider their chat people to be knowledgeable on the subject. Most of them just kind of wing it (but with confidence). Since most promos DO need to be Shipped/Sold by amazon, they probably spread that info as if it were fact.

Since Prime Day has a LOT of 3rd party sales from non-amazon sellers, it would make a lot more sense that you could order from anyone (but have to use that $70 with amazon). I would wait until July 3rd, and if it comes to it.. go to them again with a screenshot of the page and they'll likely credit your account
This is why I asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor also confirmed this. They will NOT honor 3rd party vendor purchases even though it does not specify in the advert that you must buy Amazon items only. I wish it weren't true but it is. Only after spending an hour with chat and phone tag was I able to "recoup" $70. I just didn't get a coupon as stated on their webpage. YMMV

If an item says "In stock soon" and lets me order it now, will it count for this promotion?

Rats, I bought an LG computer monitor that's a Lightning Deal, but I used my PC to do it. Also used a $10 Discover pay with points promo. Does anyone know if the Discover promo can be reused if I cancel and reorder using the app?
should be fine. I cancelled my Discover 40% off one, and $10 Small Business promo, and reorder without any problem.

To those (who like me) order a ton yesterday that would make you qualify for this. You can call and twist their arm into it. I spoke to a CSR who said she couldn't do anything despite me explaining to her that reordering enough to qualify for the promotion and then returning half of it would be more expensive for Amazon than just giving me the $70. So I asked to speak to a CSR supervisor and explain to her that unless they just gave me the $70 I would cheat the system by reorder everything and returning all the duplicative stuff which was going to cost them WAY MORE. she laugh, completely agreed, and gave me the $70 credit.

Don't accept "no" from someone who can't say yes!
