Good deal, thanks OP.

FYI

Good idea to do a clean install of Windows every now and again. That's why Microsoft has made it so easy (Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > "Reset this PC") and 20 minutes later you are good to go.

What exhaust fan did you use? I have a 120 and 80 mm fan as an intake with a 92mm as exahust and not having any issues.

Check the gamers Nexus reviews on these things before buying
GN trashes the gpu but then does gaming tests and it performs the same as the other brands lmao. Then he says "muh longevity".

Guess what, I'm mining now with this dell system for a month 24/7 and I swear I'll go to his YouTube next year and tell him my dell is still running and it has paid itself off.

not this again..

for the "build your own" enthusiasts, yes this is poor quality, but if you need something to play games on, it's not a bad deal (especially with the amex $120 offer if it hasn't expired yet).

if you need upgradeability, look elsewhere, since it uses proprietary parts.

i'm also hearing that gpu prices are slowly starting to normalize. God knows how long before they're fully down to MSRP, but if all you need is a gpu or if you're trying to resell the gpu, might want to do a bit more research.
Don't be so easily triggered by people providing helpful information. They were nowhere near as judge-y as you were in your comment. I, for one, appreciate their heads up.

Gamer's Nexus is definitely a computer geek-fest, but that video is about Gamer's Nexus approaching pre-builts for the sole purpose of recommending it to those who know little or nothing else about building their own rig. Their recommendation, which is spot on given the issues with this rig, is to avoid at all costs, especially those who are not computer savvy. There are better systems for the money out there even than this 'deal'.

The bloatware, the quality of components - this system runs out of the box 15 to 30% slower than it's counterparts and has significant design flaws that will definitely shorten it's usefulness and life and the users won't/can't fix because they aren't computer builders.. I'd avoid it and drop 200 dollars on a better built option with better specs which Gamer's Nexus has identified. Again though, those GN videos are for the tech crowd in recommending the pre-builts for family members and such so I think their dialogue on it is VERY relevant. I would suggest avoiding this system.

This was a continuing saga from last deal just a few days ago. It got heated on both sides. Lots of people who posted GN video for reference were calling Dell systems trash and making hyperbolic statements. He was trying to give a pretty balanced and measured assessment for general SDer.

My take: this isn't the best Dell deal we've seen but it's not horrible either. If you need system immediately it's as good as it gets this week so far esp with Amex deal and cb rolled in, but if you can be patient Dell deals are rolling out weekly at this point.

Oh hey, they do!

EDIT: The intro pretty much explains in detail what they are doing: this is for computer nerds looking to recommend pre-built systems to those who are not computer nerds.

Do you mean the similar ABS challenger system on Newegg that's sold out and priced at $1000? Is that a better deal than this Dell? It may be, but one has to ask what the dollar value of fear over a portion of proprietary parts vs the sense of security and pride in owning all brand name parts is. Also you gotta convince yourself Newegg is gonna have your back more than Dell will.

50 seconds in: "We've had to lower our standards to 'Does it turn on without a problem?'". Yeah, this is a GLOWING recommendation.

Just go to YouTube and look through their videos. They bash on just about everything except for a handful of individual components.

It CAN mine but at a very low rate. Like less than $2/day. If your main goal is to mine I wouldn't buy anything right now for that. If you want to game 1080p and maybe make some money back over many months, sure. It will take over a year to pay this system off with mining.
