Yes. I mean generally speaking.
I purchased a middle of the road, "off brand" ($100), and it feels like the motor has vibrated everything loose.
The impact it's making now doesn't feel the same (shorter range of movement on the head). It's also making weird sounds.
I think I have maybe 30+ hours of use. The worse part is the support warranty for mine is next to non existent.
I rather find a deal on a name brand who's going be around tomorrow or in a year.

I tried several handheld massage devices and here's my 2 cents...

Ignore the (no. of) attachments, speed, or noise level. These are for recovery and not relaxation, like Swedish massage. I don't understand why they even market noise level. Pointless! Same with speed - even the lowest speed is high enough to be perceptible. What matters is the stroke length. For muscle recovery, you want deep and intense strokes. Compare the stroke length of various massage devices and you'll see why Theragun Pro (16 mm) and Hypervolt Plus (14 mm) are priced higher than knockoff brands (10mm or less).

I bought a Sportneer for $130ish, and I love it. Ended up getting one after the chiropractor used one. I'm usually not a massage kinda person, but these really are nice.

This is one of those times where you buy the Chinese knockoffs for $30 on Amazon.

No, it only works on men. It has an auto-shutoff function if it senses a woman within 5 ft of it.

I bought the DynaMini Massage Gun from Amazon (currently $70ish). I like the smaller size as I can apply it to myself. Have used it for my tennis and and golf elbow, quads, feet, and neck.
I've not had a Theragun but the Dyna seems well built, long lasting, has attachments, and nice case.

I bought this last week. It seems well made and has a pretty premium presentation. Works well so far...

Makes sense. But the real question is is $159 massage gun better than a $39 massage gun on Amazon
My wife got me this one for father's day. Weird brand name but this thing is awesome. Very powerful. Gets deep into the tissue. Holds a charge and has many attachments. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a massager at a decent price. https://www.amazon.com/Handheld-Tissue-Massage-Muscles-Shoulder/dp/B08B8GS385?ref_=ast_sto_dp

I've got a $50 one and it works perfectly. It's quiet, it has 6 attachments (and I only ever use like 3), the battery lasts so long that I end up feeling like I'm not using it enough because I so rarely have to charge it (which isn't inconvenient anyway), it's powerful etc. I really think these $200+ massagers are an absolute scam. They're all basically a vibrating powertools with special attachments, I can't begin to imagine what would justify a price of $200 or even some I see at like $400, absurd, there's not some magic technology in there that the $50 ones don't have... they all just... vibrate at certain frequencies. Maybe the battery lasts a little longer, or it's a bit quieter... big whoop, considering both those things are perfectly fine on the cheaper models.

Yes, the US brands have better batteries, last longer, vibrates more uniformly, and has warranties.

That being said, I highly suggest getting a Chinese one first before investing in a better brand. My sister bought one and stopped using it after a week or two. Lots of ppl think they'll use something like this but end up dumping it in their closet for most of its life

Have a knockoff Hypervolt and thought it was great at first. Started losing some of the kick to it, got a theragun and much prefer that. Would get this if I didn't have something already! Same price as the knockoff one I got pretty much

If you are asking about what I think you are asking about. I know people that use it on their hand, and their hand on the spot. But not directly on the spot. This thing is powerful, if it's for the purpose that I think you are asking.
