I bought a 9' umbrella from Sams Club earlier this year and it's attempted to blow over several times despite having a round 30lb umbrella base on it. Once it did successfully blow over while totally closed and tied shut after some unexpected wind gusts. If you have it open and tilted, it's WAY worse.
I have a second umbrella base that weighs a bit less but is square and a larger diameter than the round one. It seems to work much better. However, I still recently purchased an umbrella base sandbag that I'm planning on putting approx. 70lbs of sand in.

just fyi, it shows up in your cart as the umbrella being $15 and the cover being 14.99 and it doesn't work to delete the cover and get the umbrella for $15.....it was worth a shot
