I highly recommend this for new parents. I've had this book for a couple years and my toddler, who is 4 now. One of the best books for learning the alphabet, also has flaps for the kid to open to make it fun for them. For kids learning to write the alphabet, it's a great reference for them as it has a depression of the letters on the page that they can trace with their finger.

I pair it with a drawing tablet and she goes through the whole alphabet by herself.

The key distinction that may not be obvious is that the letters here are layered to facilitate tracing.
