The tool alone is usually $139. Home Depot has the tool and a free 2AH battery for $119 today only.

Shipping is free.

Trying to determine whether I need this, as I already have an angle grinder.

How can this be done? I am seeing the tool and battery show up as one line item.

It can be used one-handed comfortably, which opens up more usage scenarios. It's also lighter and has a lot less kickback than a standard angle grinder, so you have a lot more control.

Drawbacks are it's not as powerful as a standard corded angle grinder, and it only works well with the wheels that are specifically made for it.

You are right, it Can't be split and battery returned because it's bundled. In 1 sale.
If its like add battery separately to get discount then you can return battery

Edit i was wrong. The battery return works if you add tool only and select free gift with purchase battery and return battery

Heres the tool only

Here's what you do:
1. go to this link (tool only) and click on "free gift with purchase"
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-FUEL-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-3-in-Cut-Off-Saw-Tool-Only-2522-20/305663849
2. click "select this item" and then click "add both to cart"
3. click "view cart"
4. have the battery ship to home and have the tool be picked up at your local store
5. place your order and you will have the option to cancel just the battery for about 30 minutes after the order is placed

Great response here. I haven't bought the grinder yet, but this cutoff wheel has saved me a lot at work and made me want the grinder. This is light, easily handled, and does great when cutting something thinner. I've cut bolts, tubing, whiteboards, metal rod, and a few other things and it surprises me every time for it's capability out such a small tool.

How difficult is it to purchase the cutoff wheels for this?

Good video review on this tool here: https://youtu.be/5dRZP4KIEJo
