HIDDEN MENU: (from amazon review)

To get to the sub menu, hold the power and mode buttons together. Then there will be P0, P1, P2, P3, P4. The first 3 are on or off denoted by a 1 or 0 for the setting. The other 2 are choices.

P0 - switches between mph and kph speed display.

P1 - turns on or off the cruise control. Double throttle tap does not work for me, instead if the setting is set to 1 or on, the scooter beeps if you stay a constant speed for a few seconds, if you continue to speed up, it will reactivate for the new speeds. Throttle and brake disable it. Works very well.

P2 - turns on and off the kick to start system. When it arrived, I needed to be rolling to activate the throttle, setting this to 0 or off makes it so the motor works whenever you use the throttle. Nice feature.

P3 - not exactly sure what it does, it has two settings: 08 and 10. After testing, it seems like a power limiter. 10 seems to have a slightly better acceleration and speed.

P4 - safety speed limits. 3 settings: ff, 20, and 25. FF does not limit the speed. 20 limits it to 12ish mph, and 25 limits it to 9ish mph.
Also worth trying…up up down down left right left right b a start

How does Walmart plan works? If there is a flat tire, do they send you a part for you to install, or just refund you the money? I don't think there is any mechanical shop locally for fixing scooters like this, right?

Plan covers:

Mechanical & Electrical Failures
Item Failures During Normal Use, or from Normal Wear & Tear
Other Common Malfunctions

Plan includes:

24/7 Customer Support
Easy Online Claims
Fast Repairs or Replacements

They usually refer you to a bike/scooter shop that can do the repair. Or you can find one on your own and submit the receipt (probably easier). Pro tip: If your tire pops, just say the wheel broke and have the shop bill it as "wheel repair" or something, since I'm not sure a flat tire would be covered (maybe it is but I'd rather not take the chance).

How do you add the warranty after the fact? I'm kicking myself for not getting the 3 year.

I think Walmart is only listing the motor's peak/surge wattage as the control board will algorithmically allow. Here is how peak wattage compares to nominal wattage on Segway's mainline models:
ES1 250w nominal, 500w peak, 20KPH
ES3 250w nominal, 600w peak, 25KPH
ES2 300w nominal, 700w peak, 25KPH
ES4 300w nominal, 800w peak, 30KPH

If the Hover-1 Blackhawk is comparable to the Segway ES series as others here have suggested, it seems we have a 250w (nominal) motor on these. In my experience, even 300w can have trouble with moderate hills. Was hoping for 350w but this is a backup for me anyway. Smilie
Specs for this are listed on a couple sites as 350W nominal and 700W max, I'm pretty sure this is the same as my Turboant X7 Pro, but with speed limit set to 15. I was impressed how torquey it is

General wear and tear is covered, so I guess a flat tire would be too

Yes, but Walmart seems to have a different model. Other differences: Walmart says 268lbs weight limit (close to TurboAnt X7 Pro's 275lbs) where Amazon says 220lbs (100kg, like most scooters). Here's hoping it is closer to the TurboAnt X7 Pro like Amazon's specs list and that Walmart just duffed it. Wink

Anyone know how the tires are on this? I'm coming from an old school M365 (with 1500 miles on it) and have had to replace more tires than I can count. Have they improved either the durability of these tires, or the ease of replacement of these tires (preferably both)?

You can just go to the page and buy it as a separate item per Walmart CS

Do you know if the extended warranty (I will have to buy separately after the fact as I forgot to get it when checking out) is refundable if they don't ship the scooter?

Those are just made up numbers, these clone scoots are all the same. Good strong frame design...this guy made some good video of it --https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIdUVNo_gaw

Enjoy!
