In a way this is more of a PSA that they are planning to do away with the free annual that has been around forever. Kind of sucks.

With that said, Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, and Home Before Dark are some of my favorite shows.

Does anyone actually pay for Apple TV+ after their trial? Thoughts on content for what you pay?

I have my trial that ends next year and I try to use it often but I find myself still using Netflix and Prime Video 99% of the time, I can't see myself paying for plus once my trial ends

Can this be combined with the Target Red Circle offer of 4 months of Apple TV+?

I was considering buying an Apple TV+ but wasn't sure as the Apple TV app on Roku is probably sufficient for me...the lack of iTunes extras on Roku's Apple TV app does irritate though....

Anyone know if we can do this twice? I did one last year but my free 1-year is up. I just bought my wife a new iphone so wondering if I can get another free year.

I had the free year which ends in a few weeks. I recently bought my son a new iPhone and had him try to activate the 1 year this morning and he doesn't have the option to do so.

"While Apple is very specific that the offer can't be combined with other free trials and that it can only be redeemed once per Family Sharing group, it does seem to imply the trial applies to one account.

That means you could theoretically score another free year of Apple TV with an Apple gadget if you applied it to a new Apple account. We've not tried this, but it might mean either having to use a new account for your apps, or if you have an Apple TV, using the menu to switch accounts for Apple TV+"

it says 1 per family. so if you're in the same family iCloud that wont work

Do you need to use the 1 year offer before June 30th or just activate your device by June 30? I've already activated my new device and it's giving me the 1 year offer but I haven't used it yet. I ask because I'm on the 4 month Target trial and would like to use the year offer once that's done. Will it stack with the 4 mo offer or will it override it and make the 4months going away?

I think my free one year expired this month. Apple TV+ is $4.99 month but nothing I want to see right now except Ted Lasso. I can wait until all episodes air to binge watch it.

Apple TV+ doesn't have much content to actually pay monthly

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize this was for new iPhones. I thought it was for new Apple TVs only. Worth it for Ted Lasso alone. Such a great show.

I have had Apple TV plus for almost a year and other than a very limited selection of original series, we never bother to even launch the app. Most of the time if you find something you like and want to watch on Apple TV+, you click it and you find that it off paid content. A waste of my time even browsing the app. A new definition of click bait!!

People love ted lasso for some reason. I've watched several episodes and find myself clicking on the remote repeatedly to see when the episode will end. Now, i like mythic quest and i hope physical has promise. The new snoopy show is cute. Hopefully apple will renew existing subscribers or they would lose a lot of us.
