dude, you're confusing everyone. really?

if you were able to active your free trial then it was not necessary to cancel your wife's free trial. just because you are married doesn't mean apple is calling it a "family." are you telling us, you tried to active your free trial and it rejected you and once you cancelled the wife, it allowed you?

I agree with most people's thoughts that there just isn't enough content to justify $4.99 a month. My sub ends in December. Good thing is, most of us have Apple stock, so at some point they'll realize this and they'll need to acquire or partner with one of the various streaming services or ditch subs altogether (and offer it for free with certain products). Great shows on there (For All Mankind was a pleasant surprise), but all can easily be binged in a month (then rinse repeat once every 12 months).

That's correct. It didn't let me activate my trial unless i cancelled my wife's trial offer.

yeah, might be because i'm not a sports/soccer fan. though the reason the show is popular seems to be because ted lasso is so likeable/optimistic.

it'll be at least another year until there is enough quantity and quality for people to find reason to pony $5 a month. like practically all streaming services, it makes more sense to pay for a month or get a free trial and binge watch anything you're interested in. i'm curious why they don't want to distribute non-original content. maybe because apple wouldn't have the control and subscription price would be higher.

Thank you for this PSA. I never would have known I had this waiting for me in the app. Apple should have sent me an email or something. A is not for Apple. I have 3 phones I use daily, only one is an Apple I recently got for free. Android is way better.

we're in the free 1-year thread so i was confused thinking the poster was saying he cancelled his 1-year free "early" and started another 1-year free; his vs. wife. obviously he's talking about the less-than-year free trials.
