Wow… those comments took a hard turn; Anyway, I have the Black version of these, nice, comfortable, like 18hr straight on my feet comfortable and breathable, so you should be good2go those who have experienced leather shoes that sweat the hell out of your feet; …these are the Macy*s version of a Cole Hahn Shoe/Sneaker… it's high quality (not a no frills) but it's a nice alternate I don't mind wearing with jeans and a sport jacket / blazer instead of a Chelsea Boot with fitted Jeans and the shirt can vary from high end T-Shirt to tailored shirt and the Chukka Boot is a nice look! I actually scooped them up during a Macy*s one day shoe sale like last November…

Bottom line; at this price point it's *Very worth it!

So the oceans or other ecosystems being destroyed to get the oil used to make plastic shoes is better because it's further down the supply chain/less visible? At least make an argument for something like Allbirds. Wool shoes are the most sustainable/eco friendly shoes.

Now for the shoes themselves. Not a fan of the look, but at this price you're getting what you pay for. I've had an Alfani peacoat from Macy's in the past (10 years ago) and that thing lasted one season before the lining on the inside started separating from the coat. Again, you get what you pay for for these.

FYI, zero cows are killed for the leather. Zero. It's all byproduct from our beef consumption. So theoretically, natural leather is better for the environment than plastic.
