Don't post too often but wanted people to catch this if they were in the market. Seems to be one of the best prices on the version with the built in microphone. The Drop version seems to be very similar and goes for double the price.

I've owned the original, the microphone version, and the Drop versions. Honestly the best thing that can happen is for Koss to finally incorporate the improved wire into their regular design. It's a weak point.
Otherwise, great headphones for the price. And it's not even a retro look; they're pretty much the same as they've been for decades.

How are so many people recommending Koss branded 90's style headphones. I've purchased several Koss headsets in the past and their quality is anything but on the low-end of mediocre. They were being sold at radioshack for farks sake.
At this price point I'd prefer some chinesium brands like Aukey/urlhasbeenblocked aka azul-dios (edit here) ones over these wired Koss ones especially since everyone's saying that the selling point is the quality of the music and not on the mic itself.

Huh? I get what you're saying but google the Koss Porta Pro. Oddly they are legendary for the sound quality you get at a low price. Plenty of professional reviews attest to this. I think they have been around for decades too.
I'm pretty far from an audiophile but I have a pair and they seem good. Whenever I bought cheap $10 Sony WM headphones once to replace them in an emergency I HATED them and had to get some more of the Koss immediately. Also, they're very light. There's a great place in the desktop repertoire for light headphones like these, for 25 bucks, that sound fantastic. Now that I'm used to them I dont see myself using other headphones for my entire life. Of course I just use them for listening to music at my desktop. For Xbox or whatever I imagine theyre not the solution.
I guess this one has an inline mic, mine doesnt. Dont personally care about that but I guess it couldn't hurt. BTW I was just looking and I purchased mine in 2016 and they are still holding up to near daily usage. I believe I did replace the foam earpads at one point (via replacements sold at WM or Amazon for like $10 IIRC, and you get like 10 replacement earpads in the pack) because they were tearing. 5 years for $25 headphones used a lot is also pretty great.

If you're not inclined to believe so many people, consider this: they each have a pair and are speaking from experience, while you've never tried them.

Porta Pros and KSC-75's are some of the best bang for your buck in the audio world.
I hope they're comfortable
