Funny, that was the other rack I was considering. Might try the CAP out

Edit: took a closer look at the CAP, now I remember why I didnt pull the trigger. I'm planning on putting the rack on a second floor apartment bedroom. I was looking at the progear because it would like me bring the arms much lower to the ground to deadlifts and barbell rows. I would have gone with the CAP if I had the option of dropping the bar on the floor.

I bought this last time it came up and returned it after major headaches… One support beam was twisted and one was rusted under the paint. The manufacturer did send replacement parts no questions asked but both had similar alignment issues. I boxed it all up and sent it back. I ended up buying a Cap brand half rack for $175 and found it to be sturdier and far higher quality (3" beams instead of 2" as well).

Buy cheap, buy twice

For $199 shipped after taxes I'll bite. Just need to find some decent weights. Sorry I passed on that Costco set now. Guess I'll need a bench too.

Bought this from a previous macy sale for $175ish several weeks ago. Assembled it alone, the instructions were simple to read and most of the bolts are the same size. There was some paint gouges that had me questioning if it was a return but the box was very sturdy. Don't plan on lifting the box alone, it's pretty heavy.
I've since added the lat pull-down (Walmart $169) and went with the same brand version since it was cheaper in price to the Reality Fitness version. Its smoother than I thought it would be. Can't say anything bad about it yet. It does come with a lat pulldown bar thats about 39in wide or so, decent for a freebie.
I also added weight holders that fit perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R79F...UTF8&psc=1

Also bought a set of bar attachments. Great so far. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PWBN...UTF8&psc=1

Also bought this small curl bar, nice and sturdy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZJ3Z...UTF8&psc=1

Also bought a PRCTZ 45lb Olympic bar from Wal-Mart for $70 (thanks to here). No issues other than it came in only a plastic sleeve in shipping. The ends were sticking out but no bad damage to it, luckily.

Overall for the price it's a great unit for $200 or under, even $250 it's a decent deal to me. You will invest more into all the accessories to make the most of it. I'm 6ft, 205 and it feels pretty sturdy doing a pullup, even before adding weights onto weight pegs. I dont see myself outgrowing it for my non He Man poundages I use. Currently hunting a good adjustable bench.

Hope all that helps someone.

I will always say that racks like this are a fantastic deal. If anyone is ever serious about building up some strength, and plan to keep it going for a few years, dropping a mere 1000 dollars for a rack, bench, cheap weight set like something from dicks, foam pieces, and a couple extra bits like some dip attachments and a belt to add weight to yourself, you'd end up having the cheapest gym membership ever. Upgrading your membership is as simple as adding a few more plates down the line when you're strong enough. No waiting for equipment, your personal music blasting, anything you want. All you need is room to keep it. THAT is usually the hardest part.

I did just that last year with this rack. I bought bumper plates from.amazon and Walmart and bought powerblock dumbells. I work out more now than I did when I was going to the gym. Only thing I miss is the scenery and sauna

It would be the lat pull down unit but I haven't found it for $169 (the poster mentioned). It's always $225 or more. So I was wondering if he could link it.

I just have my attachments on the floor for now but will probably just put them in some kind of small box. They make stands but Im not trying to take up anymore space.
