It's from US carburation and not sure what kit. If you email them tell them what you got they will tell you. They are a little pricey but If I could do It over again I would look for a tri fuel carburetor instead it's much cheaper
Yeah the carbs are much cheaper, but seems to be a crapshoot whether they fit out of the box or require mods. Can you run on NG right away, or does break in need to happen on gasoline?

hi, i am the op. I too was looking at GN875i but i dont really understand what does it mean by "transfer switch ready". Do you ?
It means the it has a "floating" neutral instead of a "bonded" neutral.

How about the changing to Floating Neutral on the GN8751 model please? was it easy to do ?
I think the gn875 is already set to floating neutral. You can see it if you zoom in on the panel it says "neutral floating" despite the manual talking about grounding with a copper rod.

Also this post I found talks about differences, minor as they are, between the champion and the wen models:

"First time poster here, found this doing a google search for "GN875i". Not a lot of info out there for this model. But I actually bought the GN875i recently and can share my experience. Bought direct from WEN and I may have bought the last one before it went out of stock. It was $811, no shipping or tax. I had been thinking about a generator for years to add to my power tools but the wife kept talking me out of it... until the big Texas blackout happened. I bought this after a lot of research and I'm definitely happy with it. I can tell you what I think I know:

First, the WEN appears to be almost identical to the Champion 100520 "digital hybrid". Same "Chonda" 420cc incl. carb & muffler, same inverter set, same fuel tank & gauge, charcoal canister, battery, almost the same frame & wheels, etc. The only real difference is in the control panel and that is slight. The WEN has 2 built-in USBs where the Champion has a cigarette lighter + a 2 USB plug-in adapter + a trickle charger plug-in adapter. WEN has an RV outlet while Champion does not. Champion has GFCIs on the 120V outlets while WEN does not. Champion has a bonded neutral while WEN has a floating neutral. Otherwise, the switches and data meter in the WEN vs. Champion are the same.

On a side note, I don't ever see myself using this for an RV. It is too heavy & loud, like a giant lawn mower and the sound really carries. I use hearing protection around it. Also, since I already had an RV to 5-20R converter plug, I got a male 5-20R plug for repairing extension cords and wired it inside so that it will convert it to bonded neutral when needed.

I have put 2.25 hrs of break-in time on it (1 gallon of gas). Put various loads on it up to 4000 watts and it runs like a champ. Used a Kill A Watt meter in-line and it ran a very stable 59.9 Hz, same reading I get on the grid. Changed the oil @ 1 hour, and again @ 2.25 with full synthetic 5W30. Currently getting it ready to store, and trying to think out a plan to get a transfer switch installed.

I did have a minor problem when it was delivered... the engine support brackets were bent, so the motor was leaning a bit. Sent pictures to WEN and within about 10 days I received 2 new brackets. Good, easy customer service. I didn't bother pushing the labor warranty because I used to work in automotive and for me it was a 30 minute job, easily done on the floor with two car ramps and a jack. I really think they should use a freight company instead of regular Fedex, but then the price may come up.

On another side note, there is another new generator from HF, the Predator 8750 inverter that looks like another clone but with a couple of differences. The first being it has a 5.7 gal fuel tank instead of a 4.2. It'd be interesting to see if that would drop on the WEN for more run time. The other is the Predator has a CO monitor & auto shutdown if that goes too high, which sounds like future trouble to me. I don't think the warranty is as good as the others, and it costs more considering those 20% off coupons are impossible to find now.

Not confirmed but I believe the LP & NG kits for the Champion will work on the WEN and Predator. Same Chonda 420cc after all.

Also- if you go down a size, I am pretty sure the WEN GN625i and Champion 100519 are essentially the same generators too, and they do share many parts with their bigger brothers."

I have about three hours on my Wen unit. I did two hours run time on gasoline For a quick break in. Mine comes with a 420cc Engine just like the champion. A little research says it's related to the Honda GX 390. The only reason I would look for the carb now is because I'm limited on placement on the regulator based on the length of the hose with US carburetion And they want to keep The hose 27 inches or less for the vacuum to work properly. Having a Try fuel carburetor makes it nice and tidy so I don't have to drill holes in the frame

If you aren't an idiot and don't get many power outages, you can use this to backfeed your panel and run your whole house fairly easy. Couple 20amp breakers, a male prong outlet wired to each side of the panel, and you can just open your main, flip the breakers on when you need them and then plug your generator into them with extension cords to backfeed
There's a reason why that's a big code violation. Some people who don't believe they're idiots really are. If you do that without installing the required interlock kit and something goes wrong, good luck getting your insurance company to pay.

I purchased this generator last September and been quite happy with it.
It was easy to un-bond the neutral for my manual transfer switch. I also purchased a GenTent for it.

I guess if I had to complain:

1: The fuel cap could be closer to an outside edge of the tank.

2: Oil fill is in a slightly awkward location.

I called champion 3x last week, waited 30 mins and no one answered the phone. Then I called the 3 dealers within 50 miles of Austin and they all went to voicemail as well. I'm not sure I want to buy from a company lacking customer service

I snagged this, thanks. I've been looking at them for the last few weeks. Not paying the Honda tax. I just wish these inverters could produce a little more wattage to 10k or so but I'll go with this. Gonna look into the Ng conversion kits.

Regarding the neutral, some generators are bonded, some not. You can't rely on the included electrical print either. Generally generators are bonded (to ground) within the alternator housing itself, and are usually easy to remove the end cap and check. If it's bonded, you'll see a jumper of sorts going from the neutral to ground. If you want to unbind it, just remove the jumper and secure it.

Generally speaking, generators should only be bonded when operated as a standalone unit for example while camping or jobsite. You want them unbonded for feeding a larger electrical system like a home. Neutrals should only be bonded to ground at a single point.

We're building a new house, hopefully this can power the AC. Otherwise I'll have to get a bigger non inverter.

Wondering that as well, I'm in Texas and have AC and heat needs. Two HVAC units, one 3.0 ton and one 3.5 ton. How much generator is needed to run one 3.0 ton unit (with gas heat) plus a TV and a few lights?

The 10,000 watts comment is not accurate-Costco Tri Fuel generator is 7500 watts (5500 on Natural gas) and has a 50 Amp-240 Volt outlet along with 1 30 Amp and two 20 Amp ones..
The Firman 7500 is an oddball in the 7500 watt class if it has a 50A outlet. It does not output 50 A @ 240 volts and very likely just barely 30 A running @ 240 V. .

Compare to the very similar wgen7500df which 31 A running @240V and up to 39A momentary starting. It has only a L14-30R 30A socket. Even the proW8500 which is rated for 35A running and 48 A peak ( voltage not specified ) is only equipped with the 30 amp L14-30R. If a user has a 50A inlet on the house then it doesn't make sense to but a 30 amp generator.

If this could also run on propane, I'd be all over it like stink on shit.

I have the Wen version of this unit. All of these generators (Wen, Champion, Predator) are nearly identical (manufactured in the same plant in China). There are some differences on the panel, but I doubt there much if any difference with the components. Champion does have a great reputation with support, but the cost difference was too much at the time, so I went with the Wen. I plan to add the 3rd party LPG/NG kit, as well as build a hush box (the unit is not quiet by any stretch).

You're probably beyond the capabilities of a portable this those size ACs, even with hard/soft start kits. You could probably get away with running one AC, especially if it's an inverter HVAC unit. Gas heat is easy, but forget about a heat pump.
