Was searching for something in stock locally and after nothing was available looked for the fastest delivery from Lowe's, Home depot, Amazon and Walmart, Found these highly rated units that were even matching previous low prices. Thought save fellow SDers a couple of hours of comparison, review and shipping date research.

I bought similar Frigidaires some 7-8 years ago, the 8,000 for an outbuilding & the 12,000 for a mother-in-law suite. They have been good units, and this seems like a pretty good price these days, although not a steal by any stretch. Repped, OP.

Seems these are not Energy Star. BTW, Lowe's has a 10K btu + Energy Star LG (top-rated by ConsRpts) for $339. If you are military or vet, discount brings it down to $305 delivered. Can also get Lowes' discount gift cards at Newegg (see previous deal).

The energy star versions of these are more expensive (about 15-20% from homedepot). The CEER efficiency of those is 12 vs 10.9 for these I would personally never recover the upfront price difference with my usage.
More importantly I want it delivered on Wednesday.
If so, I can personally attest to it being a stellar machine. Nothing too fancy but it cools my bedroom very quickly, was fairly easy to assemble/install, and has a good remote which is line of sight but works even when pointing at the opposite wall most of the time.
I just picked one up yesterday at my local Walmart. Kind of odd that when I scanned it showed none in stock but was able to find this hiding in the back of the store near paint. I did install it and everything worked great. I have the 10k btu. Granted it has been cooler outside (81F as the high) and it has only used about 6kw of power in the last 24 hours I have been running it. So far I am liking it but we will see how long it last for. Had a 12k btu portable unit from black and decker that would not cool anymore after about 2 years.

Midea U-Shaped 10k BTU. $120 more, 120,000,000 times better. 15.0 CEER rating will get you that $120 back in a year or two. Just installed my 12k unit today. Amazing.
