My guess would be the money or products they are given to promote it.

I've tried and own a number of wireless chargers, and having a well made and designed one makes a big difference. My favorite is this one

I'm forced to use a wireless charger on my s10+. Keep getting "check charger/usb port, mmoisture detected" alarm for weeks now and it's completely dry and free of foreign objects. Anyone know how to fix this?

I bought these 3 weeks ago from another SD post. These are ok, be careful when putting you device on because it has to be absolutely right & perfectly positioned on the pad. The cables are just long enough to have pad on the end of your desk & to reach the wall outlet.

It's not a fast charge but for this price you get 2 stationary charging spots without wondering if your kids took a cable or not. Even worse does the charging cable still in 1 piece. 🙃

Have you checked the port and confirmed there's no lint, etc. in there?

It charges reliably, easy to position to recognize fast charging (and I'm using a 15 W phone with a case). The surface area is large and stable, and the matte, slightly grippy texture is good both at keeping the phone securely on the pad and also doesn't pick up fingerprints or show a bit of dust as easily. Contrast to glossy, glass surface ones that easily show prints/dust and are slippery so it's also easy to bump the phone off. Also the LED indicator is well-designed in that it is normally off, but when it detects and starts charging a phone, it will light up briefly but then turn off again while charging, so it's good for bedrooms at night. Many designs now will have an LED ring around the whole pad, which is hard to cover up with electrical tape or the dark tint dimming sheets (unless you turn the damn thing into a wrapped mummy) and some can be ridiculously bright.

It happens to be the first wireless charger I've bought that came with a USB-C to USB-C cable, so maybe it also works to support the fast wireless charging (i.e. rates over 5W) using a USB-C PD charger, but I haven't tested that. I'm using it with my own USB-A to USB-C cable and a QC 3.0 compatible charger, which is the typical arrangement for these type of devices.

And your guess would be utterly wrong. I'm not a marketer, I'm an engineer with 20+ years experience in the semiconductor industry, and chances are you've used a product that I've worked on, or possibly even have it in your pocket right now. If you had bothered to look at my posting/comment history, it would reflect that, but hey it's more incentivizing and easier to post a snarky comment to get the likes.

I had that, I used rubbing alcohol in the port with a q-tip. Let it dry, and it worked again. I made sure it was super clean.

These are crap, hard to find the spot, single coil. I gave the pads and cords away but kept the 3.0 blocks for use with seneo stands
