how does the SONY OLED compare to LG OLED?
The are both excellent for general use especially if you can prevent direct light hitting the panel in the day, Sony takes the edge in processing and upscaling (especially the new XR chips in the A80J ect) and LG takes price and gaming category.
Sony has much better picture enhancements out of the box. What they don't have is some of HDMI 2.1 Features made popular with current Gen game consoles.
I find that hard to believe knowing Sony manufacturing capabilities.
LG Display is the only manufacturer of OLED panels. Other TV manufacturers just buy the panels from them, and use their own hardware. (processor, speakers, etc)
