Does this work with other rotary tools, like the black & decker one?

I would suggest to do a physical check on this in your area. When checking out it came up as an "Unknown item" Needed assistance.

Also my store had 8 of these in the Dremel tool area with the clearance tag. Shows limited inventory according to Brickseek.

I own this adapter. It works with my no-name rotary tool from Ace. As long as the tool has the standard plastic cap that unscrews from the end, revealing threads, it will probably be compatible.

$30 regular price. No tools, so factor in the extra cost for those.

$17.97 20 miles away. Not big enough of a discount to spend an hour in traffic back and forth.

It works good with the WEN 2305. But the Dremel brand router bits are a bit pricy at about $33 for a set of 6. I bought a set of 10 off-brand bits for about $13.

As the owner of a palm router and a big ol' router table with a beefy Bosch router in it, I dont know that I'd trust a dremel to route anything other than super small and shallow cuts. Probably good in a pinch but you're not cutting rabbets or mortises with this.

Save your money! I bought one of these during a previous sale last year but I ended up giving it away. My Dremel doesn't spin fast enough to make a clean cut. I needed to replace all the doors in my house, and needed to cut out notches for the hinges, and I couldn't get a nice clean cut with my Dremel. I ended up buying a cheap router at HF for about $40 with taxes and shipping, and it made a huge difference. Just consider that a basic Dremel tool doesn't go faster than 5,000 RPMs (at least mine), while a router can easily go past 20k RPMs.

For reference, this is what I bought: https://www.harborfreight.com/pow...62659.html

What others said. I have this as well. Even with a corded Dremel, this is really for "hobbyist" type activities. Very small jobs, soft woods or plastics or ???. You "can" use this for larger jobs but you'll be spending a ton of time doing the routing that could be done in seconds with a real router.

Also: do you like having functional, working brushes in your Dremel? Routing is a good way to eat them.
