I got the Z6, not really a beast. I love how smooth and quiet it is but it still not equal to a gas powered of equal spec. Really tall grass and it bog down and mower motor shuts down .
This self propelled Ego is very comparable to a gas but slightly more expensive.

I post in every thread about this mower. Just got it this year and for a smaller suburban yard these do great. Best cut my grass has ever had without the vibration from the gas mower. Looks razor sharp. I would never go back to a gas mower again. But this is for small yards.

Are you looking at this specific model? I purchased an older self propelled ego mower on Craigslist after not being able to find one at Home Depot when they had their clearance deal. I paid $250 just the tool

Bought it for my dad and he loves it. Have let 2 of my uncles use it and they are impressed with it and ask to borrow it. I purchased a non self propelled brand new from a Lowe's deal a few weeks ago for $250, tool only.

I have a few 5.0 batteries from the snow blower deal last year.

I love ego but I doubt I would pay $700 for this particular model. That's just me

Has there been a better price for this mower? I understand that $50 off isn't much but EGO doesn't seem to offer much in the way of sales. Debating if I should pull the trigger on this 🤔

I work at Lowe's part time and the Ego stuff rarely goes on sale, and hardly ever comes back as a return item. And if they do, we make sure to check the box to see if the battery has been removed, as some like to try and play that game. I let them tell me why they want to return it, and usually its "not enough power", or charge time too long". Then I inspect the item and ask "where's the battery?". Then they sometimes say that it did not come with one. But how can it not have enough power when it has no battery? But back on topic, the Ego stuff is really good, can't say the same about the Kobalt stuff though.
