If you have Paypal Key you can get this to work as a Mastercard Debit funded by the Discover. Opens up lots of opportunities.

Log in to your PayPal account and create the PayPal key. Set the Discover card as the payment method for it. You will have a new "virtual" card number, expiration date, and security code that you enter in just like any other credit/debit.

As previously mentioned, this awesome with PayPal Key linked to your Discover card. You can treat it like a debit card to avoid a lot of fees, and use at places that don't normally accept PayPal (like Amazon), allowing you to get the 5% bonus on the Discover

The only thing I don't like, they want my DOB and SSN. I have been on PP for years and years, never needed to provide this info, suddenly now they need it. Why? I'm thinking about not registering for the key and just using Discover as payment and that's all. But thanks again for the help. I never would have found it otherwise.

Very very bad way to make money on PayPal. Read what I did with eBay prior to the eBay payment implementation. The deal of the century was the Sep 27 2019. You earn 6% eBay bucks, plus 4% from Raku10. There was also 15% off with max $100 discount. Most people had seller fee capped at $10 that time. You lose a little more on PayPal fee at nearly 3%. I did this for almost 20 years buying items from the group of participants.

Cross bought for the churn? How can that work without eBay fee cap specials?

It requires some sort of capped fee promo, and requires a large group of people, If I buy from you and you buy from me, we will both get flagged. It's actually more profitable with eBay payment system if we can have a capped fee promo. Right now you keep the paypal fee in exchange for much higher final value fee eBay is now charging. But if fee can be capped then we will have a more profitable scheme making 3% more than before. The reason Sep 27 2019 was the deal of the century was because Raku10 had bonus cash back, for few times including 9/27/19 the $100 off and eBay Bucks promo had one day overlap. But occasionally we had a couple of bonus Raku10 cash back on eBay while eBay Bucks promo was running.

Having eBay payment blows. I used to pay my doctor and contractors and other bills using the eBay scheme by adding paypal email address of the payee in the bogus item I list on eBay. Now I can no longer do that to earn extra from paying them using paypal. I doubt eBay will ever run another $100 off (for 15% or 20% off) promo.

It may still happen. Chase Freedom did paypal 5% for the past few years. I'm actually happy Chase 5% is on grocery. I can buy gift cards from several supermarkets.
