Is there anyone that has this table saw that can speak to it's cutting ability with solid hardwoods like walnut?

I'd like to build some larger pieces like media consoles and wonder if anyone has had experiences cutting harder woods with this.
The saw has plenty of power, but you may want to invest in a better blade. I don't have this saw so I don't know what blade comes with it. I have the discontinued model 7480. The blade that came with is good but not great. It can rip 2 by lumber OK, but sometimes, I needed to give it an extra oomph to push the lumber through. I switched to this Diablo by Freud 50 tooth ATB combination blade and it rips through 2 by lumber like hot knife through butter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I think the included blade will cut hardwood fine if you are building 1 or 2 projects. But if you are going to be cutting a lot of hardwood, I'd invest in a better blade.

Thank you! I was planning on upgrading the blade to a Diablo, will definitely take a look at the one you linked.

You can cut dados with any table saw or even a circular saw. The issue is you have to make multiple passes. Depending on how often you cut dados or how many you are cutting, it might not make sense from a time perspective to set it up OR a money perspective to buy a dado stack.
Another way to cut dado with table saw is with a kerfmaker. I first came across it in a YT video and thought it was a cool little tool. You can find it on Amazon for about $25 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=kerfma...-doa-p_1_9
