It hangs, I wondered how it would be when I first got the heatsink as it has some weight to it but it turned out fine. If you look at the Amazon reviews there's two five star reviews with images that used the included thermal tape pad to secure it, they have theirs hanging as well. There are also many other reviewers that did the same but didn't upload a picture.

Just saying in regards to my last post, I know that thermal tape doesn't work nearly as well as thermal paste and I didn't care how it looked.

So no adhesive to stick it to the ultra, just thermal paste right, I have some arctic silver I can use, also did you put the paste on just the center or all over including fins

Love love stadia, but not gonna lie, anything competitive is not going to work. Or for example with nba2k I seriously believe they measure button sensitivity to the nth degree, if you press buttons even a little too hard or obviously too long it makes a difference. Which just doesn't work with stadia because of the latency. Even though the visual is perfect, no lagging, I'll shoot 5-30, where as console/pc 20-30. It's great games like assassins creed, more story influenced

But yeah cloud gaming is not the future, the infrastructure isn't there and physical hard drive will always be preferred over it. Especially with the nature of games these days being online and how competitive they are. Hard drive is like peds, compared to online. It's just a really nice niche that is really nice having around.

I had to use electrical tape to secure it because I wanted to use the paste instead of the tape. I put the paste on the center and along the center of the two larger "fins" but not on any of the smaller ones. It looks ugly as hell but it works.

I'm also a huge Stadia fan but completely agree with you when it comes to competitive play. As someone who grew up playing Counter Strike, Counter Strike Source, and finally Counter Strike Global Offensive in different leagues throughout the years. I don't buy games to play in leagues on Stadia nor do I think it's even possible at the moment. I do however have many games that I play casually with very little latency. Even though a lot of people claim to notice little difference when using a Stadia controller, it's literally night and day for me but I attribute that to thousands of hours of first person shooters on low response time monitors.

Wow. Judgement is on Stadia. I just found out.
I'm really surprised it's not included in Xbox Game Pass given the Studio's most titles are on XGP. But for $10 I'll bite. This offer convinced me to finally activate my 3 months of free Stadia Pro via Google One. (also free via Chromebook)

Stadia works better than any of the cloud gaming alternatives at the moment and some of us aren't hardcore gamers that have hours upon hours to waste every day gaming so the library they offer is just fine. I'm currently in the middle of 4 free months of Stadia Pro, have over 40 games including a bunch of good AAA games to play whenever, I'm currently playing Disco Elysium Final Cut, frequently on my Galaxy Tab S7+, which you can't do through anything else, and it will likely take me a while just to get through that one game, I got the "free" Chromecast Ultra/controller, worth a decent amount in its own right, and I've paid Google less than $80 dollars in total. Your suggestion that I should have laid out half a grand for a console instead because you think Stadia is "garbage" is a joke to me to be blunt.

If I was going to pay for anything it would be for a decent video card and you know what the market for that kind of thing is. Stadia is more than filling my gaming needs to the point that it has made that situation irrelevant to me and saved me a good amount of money because of it.
