If you are going to cook or marinate, this gochujang is what you want to buy. If you are going to use it for dip or to spray over food, bibigo gochujang is what you are looking for.
As you can assume from the name this is more of paste, not sauce. Koreans use it with soy sauce, sesame oil, or water to mix it well. On the other hand, bibigo gochujang is made to target international market as a sauce just like how Sriracha had success.

Whole Foods had some Gochujang ketchup. Not sure if they still do. That stuff changed my life, but it was seasonal or something. I've been mixing this with ketchup ever since. Gochujang ketchup is good on everything. Fries, burgers, fried shrimp. I once put it on a nasty slice pizza once and it made it edible. The price isn't bad either.
If you're here because you see this and now you are ordering it to try, look up Maangchi video on bul dak in youtube. I equate it to Korean chicken wings (cheesey chicken wings!) and it would be my last meal if I were being executed in prison.
Also screw chicken noodle soup, this stuff is an actual cure for colds lol.

I'm a big tobasco + ketchup fan. Have you tried that and if so how does it compare to Gochujang and ketchup?

I am partial to Sriracha + ketchup. try that. I like that combo much better than tabasco.
That said, the price for 6lb tub is just OK. Korean food stores would frequently have sale at around $10/tub. Regular price varies anywhere from $15-$18 so compared with regular price, it isn't too bad.
Pretty much all Gochujang (not the mixed versions) are pretty much the same IMHO from most brands. Now, Doenjang (Bean Paste - light brown tubs) varies WILDLY depending on the brand so getting different brands and trying out the until you get the flavor you want is important.
Now, SsamJang (green tubs) is used when you eat grilled meat, it is mixture of Gochujang (chili paste)+ Doenjang (bean paste) + some sugar + garlic + sesame seed oil, etc. Not used for cooking.
