Just to shift away from the tired debate about covid - west coast folks should consider picking these up for fire season. AQI was really bad throughout California last summer and these with some p100 filters are a really good idea if you need to be outside when it's really smoky. Bad AQI from wildfires has been shown to have negative long term health effects so this is a cheap way to protect yourself from that.
3M is the industry standard for reusable respirators and this is a great price. Thumbs up!
If you want to wear them to protect others you can put a simple cloth mask over that vent hole.

Anyone familiar with the most cost effective filters for Covid-19 when using this mask? From what I found, getting the plastic screw-on mounts, clear plastic covers, and loose n95 filters was cheaper than just getting the pink colored n95 screw-on filters in the long run.
Seems like overkill for Covid.....

I bought a 50 pack of filters for $20. Also do not forget the carbon filter too.
Surprise this does not come as a kit as that is what I bought for $15 when I knew back in Dec 2019 that this is going to be a pandemic.
