Wonder if this will be ever finished since the author passed
Perhaps? Plots are planned in advance, discussed with editors before the illustration, editing, and publishing process begins. Depends on how far ahead the staff planned.
I've never read this series personally, but if the author just so happened to plan the ending soon, the series could be complete and all that is holding it back is the publisher.
If there are more volumes (they really did not expect the author to perish of course), then the story could merely release what excess plot there is left, utilize another artist to copy the style of mangaka, and "finalize" the series as is.
The publisher owns the IP so they could also hire new people to copy the art style, writing style, and finish it themselves. Maybe the fans wouldnt like it, but it is the publisher's intellectual property.

Listing price is $8.99, and via tracking history, that price mostly holds true.
Vol. 1 goes on sale for $3.99 a couple times a year (as part of "Cheap intro to new series" promotions), but rarely does the entire series go on sale. See e.g. Vol.1 vs Vol.3:
Oh man, I got so excited and then saw it was digital. Great deal if you're into digital or your library doesn't have them on Libby or OverDrive.
One of the reasons I'm thinking about getting these. Been wanting to read Berserk for a long time, but my library app (Hoopla) does not carry it.
Though it will be an expensive run, at 41 issues now. Have not invested in a magna series since Epic comics prints of Akira.
Does anyone know if the digital books are "printed" to read left to right or right to left?

It probably will not be completed due to respect to the author. If Kentaro Miura's agent was instructed or feels inclined, he may share the plot points Miura told him in confidence. It's usually considered rude in Japan to continue the work if it was not specified prior to his passing.
I might get it out of respect for Kentaro since I stole from him in my youth. I started reading Berserk when I was around 15 years old; now I'm 34. I purchased a cd-r with many Berserk volumes from eBay back in the day since Manga websites were still not a thing. RIP Miura.

Really sad about the author and i dont know how id feel if somebody else continued even if they tried to imitate the artist's style.
It's just amazing how this manga can be 'grounded' for a few volumes and then turn into absolute chaos the next lol
