Unlike Direct Tools, 'Reconditioned' with CPO is hit and miss for appearance.... some look like new and some are very much less than.
That said, if you plan to do a lot of hand held routing, buy a router with a trigger switch in the handle.... (which is not this one). Taking one hand off to turn on or off the router, you get into trouble, or you drop it and it keeps on running, etc., you will understand the why it is a lot safer with more control.
Take your pick, as Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Porter Cable, etc. all have a model with a switch on the handle, but there is a difference. Many have the trigger mounted parallel with the router inside a D handle and not natural for your finger. There are exceptions that get it right.... Just for reference, as cheaper elsewhere, one example is the Bosch MRP23EVS [homedepot.com]. Click on the 360 view and see how the switch is very comfortably where it is suppose to be when your hand is on the handle.
The OP router is probably great for a router table that does not have a lift and sure, you can use it free handed.... but there are better options.

To me a "reconditioned " at anything less than 70% off, isn't worth it. And even at 70% off, it can vary.
The 1617evspk is a great setup (probably the best router system <$300) but a few months, spend $50 more, and get new. 30,000rpm carbide chunks in a reconditioned tool,, isn't a good "route" if 20% off.

If portable, I want the router switch on the handle as a kill switch. I have seen them buzzing around the floor and excited, people trying to grab instead of just unplugging. Besides I am paying for the Workman's Comp, I don't want anyone hurt, either.
Personally, I think someone should buy whatever they want to buy after they have done their research.

IMO, generally speaking, if there is one tool in a woodshop you don't skimp on it's a router setup. Buy new, buy quality, and but it once. And slow, steady, and deliberate is 100% critical.
