I just had to rma an EVGA 600BQ PSU after it fully died in less than 3 months. May want to stay away from EVGA budget lines and stick with the supernova line. EVGA was quick to rma but I had to point out that they wanted me to spend almost half the amount that I paid for the psu in shipping costs for them to do a "1 time courtesy" free shipping label. For the amount I would have spent on the psu + shipping to rma it I would have broke even on just buying a non budget psu

I've had so much bad luck with EVGA power supplies. My 750w I have now has been RMA'd three times so far. Now, EVGA has been incredibly fast about replacements, usually getting it back in 2 to 3 days. The EVGA PS that was in my son's computer died twice, but the second time it was out of warranty, so I have a Cooler Master PS in it now.

So far, the Corsair in my daughter's computer has lasted 4 years with no issues.

Wouldn't buy a EVGA power supply if it was 10$.

Terrible QC, you end up kicking yourself as you're pulling your PC apart redoing it all.

Nothing EVGA makes is better than the SuperNOVA line. And as far as top-tier power supplies go, if you're shopping EVGA the SuperNOVA is it. This power supply probably isn't broken, but isn't in the same class as the SuperNOVA. (For those thinking, "but they're both made by EVGA" please note that EVGA doesn't make power supplies, they make stickers and boxes for other manufacturer's power supplies).

Good luck!
Jon

Not all "Supernova"-branded EVGA PSUs are top-of-the-line. The G2/P2/T2 are legendary. The rest are OK.

Just bought a 700bq and it lasted 3 hours and then my pc died..put the old 500w white evga psu back in and it's running great..I've had the 500 white for 4 years now..this just tells you that lemons are amongst us but I won't dawg evga on this new one but it does suck that I have to pay shipping to RMA it and then just get a refurbished unit…I'm having great luck with seasonic psu so that's what I'm sticking with..

I'd bet this one would crash a pc running 550w while the other one won't. Even the new GA lines in the 700-800W are having problems with loads from 3080/3090 cards. The G3 are historically Superflower made units which if you look costs triple of most other brands. All the new EVGA units are made by FPS.

Corsair or superflower. Im all for saving $ but not on a PSU unless its a good deal on a quality product. I even return an RM corsair for RMX because I found out conductors in RM were deprecated and cheap chinese parts for RMX made in japan. Superflower deals pop up a lot and are reputable. The ONLY reason I'd buy something like this is if it would give VIP status for EVGA GPU waitlists. Then just sell it on ebay.
