how many NITS is the screen on this? will heat be an issue?
It is a 250 nits 45% NTSC or 60% sRGB panel. What you see in all sub $600 laptops. Similar to the one in the Lenovo Flex 5, Asus VivoBook 14.

can the RAM and NVME be upgraded?
Yes, both are upgradable. In fact, this series is one of the most upgradable 14 incher. It has two user accessible memory slots and you can go up to 64GB.
One thing you should understand, this is a thermally constrain chassis and most people are not aware of the fact that here i7-113700H is not setup at 35W default TDP but at far lower 15W TDP which means there is high chance that it will perform slower than some of the i7-1165G7 or 1185G7 based Ultrabooks. Don't get excited by seeing that H35 Processor here. Check Page # 10.

Nope. $661 with just weekend10 coupon. You can get additional savings with one or a combination (if possible) of cash back offers

How did you avail both Capital one and Amex offers, am I missing something?
Capital one 12% is a sign up that generates a coupon code, while the Amex offers are built into using the card. Since Dell allows you to split payments amongst (up to) 3 different cards, I used my business platinum for the semi annual $100 dell credit and then then the balance on another amex where I loaded the $120 off $599 offer.

$485 ... Is the math right?
here is the math for me at least

$734.99 via perks at work which another SD provided the link to.

New Inspiron 14 Laptop 1 $978.99 $646.79
Subtotal: $646.79 (12% capital one coupon code)
Shipping &/or Handling: $0.00
Shipping &/or Handling Discount: $332.20
Environmental Fee: $4.00
Non-Taxable Amount: $19.16
Taxable Amount: $627.63
Estimated Tax: $54.92
Total (USD): $705.71

minus $100 for the using my Amex Platinum semi annual credit
minus $120 for using another Amex with $120 of 599

my out the door cost is $485.71 minus any cash back

This is under my budget but I have two external monitors and has higher resolution than what this laptop supports. Anyone knows similar specs with higher resolution laptops under $800? Thanks

So for someone not getting the Amex, Capital One, etc. perks, would it still be a deal for $701.20?

Are you talking about the Capital one coupon app? I don't see a 12% off coupon on that.
