I don't know what The Economist was like 10 years ago, but I admire and count on their reporting and analysis today. I prefer their print format and give the hard copy subscriptions as presents to my friends.
Well I guess I'm in for about 12 magazine subscriptions I didn't need, but for $70/yr I will get the enjoyment. Big fan of DiscountMags.

Say your order consumer reports, is digital access included?
IIRC, digital access is separate (it is not included with print subscriptions).

You may be able to access the digital content for CR (and digital content of other magazines) via your local library system. You would need a library card, but it's free.

Since their reporting is so data-driven, it's more likely they're just telling an inconvenient truth that you don't want to hear.
You and you guys just don't understand how propaganda works. But then again, you arguing to defend an anti-freedom anti-america magazine like the economist is evidence that the propaganda doing its job.

Agreed, which is why I only replied with one sentence. People in such a place need a preponderance of hints that build up to a level they eventually can no longer ignore. I was just adding my pebble to the pile of rocks that hopefully will someday crush their willful ignorance.
We'll see who was willfully ignorant when future generations of Americans are poor slaves and america is no longer the #1 super power.

Uh-huh. Since projection is obviously your forte, you may as well keep telling yourself that, Donnie...

Well, what more proof do I need? The willful ignorance I spoke of is on full display if you don't think we're pretty much there already. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, my friend - you'll need it with the heat from the climate change brought about by your apparent idols.

The Economist is a brilliant (and sometimes exhaustingly info-dense) magazine, but -- as a reminder -- many/most Americans can get the digital version 100% free via public libraries.
  1. Apply for or find your local-library card.
  2. Search online for "[cityname or county-name] library digital magazines"
  3. Download the app (often it's "Libby") to see if The Economist or your chosen magazine is included by your library.
  4. Enjoy reading it on your phone or tablet!
Normally I'd say that one should pay directly for quality journalism if one can afford it. But I am guessing (though haven't confirmed) that these magazines get paid by the libraries, so why not put your tax dollars to good use? Smilie

Have you ever read it? No, of course you haven't... and what could you make a meaningful comparison to if you had?

In case anyone is looking for a freebie...you can pick up some of these titles from RecycleBank (free).

No cc information is taken, no auto-renew. You complete tasks on their site to earn pts and redeem for subscriptions. It doesn't take long...but some folks don't want to deal with it.

Some freebie sites for magazines can be hit or miss. I've been using RecycleBank for 10 years, and I've received every magazine I've ordered.

Magazines Currently Available from RecycleBank
https://www.recyclebank.com/rewar...-magazines

Whether you use DM or RecycleBank, you can extend a current subscription. If you do, be sure to use the EXACT same name/addy information that is on your current mailing label. If you aren't sure...you can log into your subscription account at the magazine specific website to verify your information.

If, despite using the same information, you start to receive duplicates. You can resolve the issue by contacting customer service at the specific magazine (not DM or RB). Once logged into your account at the magazine specific website, you can send a message to customer service. You provide the account numbers off the magazine labels, and ask that the subscription accounts be merged.
