I didn't see this posted yet, so I figured I'd put it out there. Amex platinum is now offering a $240 Digital Entertainment Credit. Requires enrollment, which you can complete at the link. Covers certain charges from participating partners (Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM and The New York Times). One other important caveat is that it covers a maximum of $20 worth of charges each month, which gives you the cumulative value of the credit over the full year.

Not yet there, might only come when the new fee goes into place.
well never mind, it was there, just hidden.
the audible credit makes up for the fee increase

Strange. I enrolled online with the link from OP. Got an error but then ended up receiving a confirmation e-mail.

FYI the $695 renewal goes into effect beginning 1/1/22, so anyone renewing between 7/1/21 and 12/31/21 pays the old $550 rate. Very nice for those with renewal dates before the end of the year.

As a 20+ year AMEX Plat holder I'm now getting officially close to getting rid of this card. These new benefits are mostly trash. I charge probably a $150k a year in expenses on it and appreciate the no-limit charge Net30 aspects of it. But damn, its harder to pay this fee every year. The last increase before this one still feels pretty recent.

If it was Netflix or hulu then that would be worth it. I wouldn't take advantage of these.

if you travel, the $170 of CLEAR is alone worth the $150 increase. I wish they could make the airline credit the same as Chase Reserve but AMEX is quickly becoming a true travelers card. The amount of wait time at Centurion lounges just makes me think that this increase will hopefully cull out the occasional traveler hogging up the lounge and complaining about the non travel benefits

So does it mean you can enroll in several of these services and Amex will reimburse you up to $20 per month. Say I could enroll on peacock and nytimes?

Believe that you would only get $20 back per month total regardless of the number of the eligible services that you sign up for

If you are a basic member of delta or united, clear only costs $120. Clear is not even offered at my home airport.
The "entertainment" credits are practically worthless, given their limited range.
The closest equinox is 300 miles from home and the credits cover less than 10% of the monthly dues.
The hotel credit only covers a very select number of hotels and typically only covers half a night at a typical FHR property.

Not seeing much added value. If less crowded lounges are worth $150, I guess it is worth it.

It says "For new subscribers, use your Platinum Card® to subscribe to one or more participating partners " so it sounds like you should get $20 max reimbursed total. Not per service.
