We purchased this back at ~3400+tax in December. We have ZERO regrets getting it at that price and using it daily for 7 months. This tv is as incredible as people say it is, especially for my wife and I who game pretty actively.

Can't imagine snagging this for 2700+tax.

Mine seems plenty bright, even with lots of ambient light. If I close the curtains, the contrast with the perfect black makes it seem much brighter than any of my other non-OLED tvs.

People that think these are dark havent seen the 2014/15 oleds. Its fine unless your tv is in a sun room with no curtains

I have only seen a high end Samsung just in the store, so cannot compare too much. But ours is upstairs in a room that has low-medium external light getting in and it's plenty bright for our liking on vivid mode ☺️

Is there a huge quality difference? I thought the G1 had the brighter panel and the C1 was only marginally better than the CX.
