Nits, shmitz. It's a common theme that is quite ubiquitous when it comes to laptops that retail for less than $1000 or so that are then listed on here for a discount of varying degrees. The top comment is often about nit anxiety and the first comment is the same. And then every 6th or 7th comment after that until the end. I am not the walrus, it was Paul.

Preach! The only time it matters much would be in bright areas. Nits complaints are the new screen resolution complaints. There is always some compromise if you are on a certain budget/price range, other than some "pric3" glitch or super deal.

Let's rep the OP for his tireless dedication posting good and great deals, depending on your needs. Pick one or move on people. I just love to window shop for now. My older-gen tech keeps on chugging along.

I just got a 5515 (Ryzen 5 5500U) with only 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD from a previous post for $499 and I'm extremely pleased with it. The display is fine, especially for a touch screen. You'll be hard pressed to find a touch screen display with 1080p resolution at this price point.— I know, I looked. The touch pad is larger than most, accurate, and easy to use. The backlit keyboard is also nice. And the fit and finish is exceptional. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I'll have a little more than this into it by the time I'm done upgrading the RAM and SSD (except I'll have Crucial RAM and a Samsung 980 SSD) but this is a very nice deal for an out of the box laptop.

This with option to add 400 nits and 100%sRGB display ($50-80) would have been awesome if Dell had allowed.

Not possible. Unlike HP, this 250 nits 45% NTSC display is the only option for the whole series.

I just got a new 14-5410 inspiron (Intel 11th gen i7) and it's just okay. The screen is a bit dark/dull and i'm also not a fan of the track pad. I should have gone for the Acer swift series instead

I bought this Lenovo(https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Ide...YMJL?th=1) from a deal last year and the hinges are already starting to make a cracking sound+the lid won't close all the way, i live in a very hot area and I think the heat effected the laptop, I have around $6-700 to spend and this laptop checks all the boxes for me(16gb ram, 512 ssd, IPS screen, fingerprint scanner, 15.6 screen, dark color chasis etc) but I am wary of dell, and is this Ryzen 7 THAT much of an upgrade over my current i5-1035G1? I have multiple tabs open with music playing and streaming videos+maybe one game of league of legends every few days on medium settings.

Should I pull the trigger on this or wait?

Picked up 10 latitude 5401s or 5410s (forget which) with similar screens. Had 2 older employees (50-60 years old) complain about brightness compared to their previous latitude 7490s. Nit anxiety is real for some. I always have my phone screen on brightest, but my wife says it burns her eyes... eh.. anyway, props to op.

The coupon code is just a code, the site doesn't check the code against the price for being 699 or above. It works on this deal now (it didn't work on the Dell member deal 2 days ago).

Are these good for business employees ? Or they break too easy compared to business models.

Your order does not qualify for this coupon
