I think it's worth $200 for this chair. It has the portability that I was looking for, instead of the other playseat which is full build chair. It can be folded up, with the steering wheel mounted.
If you are in the market for racing driving games, a few things to consider:
1. This set does not have the extension for the gear shift if your wheel set has one. You will need to figure out how to add that on.
2. Many racing games does not support steering wheel full. It means that it does not translate what the steer wheel/pedal well into the game and would cause a lot of underated/oversteer/spin off.
3. If playing on PC, make sure you have the right graphic card to support the game.
For me, I think my setup was good enough to play just a few titles and get something out of it. And I can easily bring it out, after storing, to play just a few games.
One point to share is I cracked my tailbone in this thing the first day I had it. DO NOT UNDO ANY OF THE STRAPS WHILE IN THE SEAT.
I had a velcro strap rubbing so I went to pull it out of the way and it completely collapsed. Completely my fault and not the chairs but it's something I warn new owners about since it took about 7 months for my tailbone to stop hurting.

It was 20% off on prime day. I still would get it at the current price.

Thanks. I'm not rush on getting it, but will see if it's on sale later.
I've tried something like that, it works and is cool, but would probably recommend trying the omega brand ones. These weren't as stiff as I wanted them to be. Still it's better than nothing.
My bigger concern is that the seating position for this seems ill suited for single seaters and prototypes. In this more upright position I'd be looking for a good place to mount a shifter (and potentially hand brake depending on the series).
