Not a gaming Laptop in the first place. This is a new XPS 15 alternative for a premium work machine. If you can remember, the XPS 15 and 17, which are costlier than this one, also come with MAX-Q version,

G15 has a 115W RTX 3060 which is plenty powerful than this one. This is one is similar to Asus Zephyrus G14. But G15 is over 1 lbs heavier, bulkier and made of pure plastic.

Yeah that kinda kills the deal right there - over 8 weeks away once ordered. Chances are you'll come across a better deal during that time.

Theoretically, they should be very similar. G14 also uses a 60W RTX 3060 with up to 20W extra using Dynamic Boost.

I don't understand the hate for the laptop though. This seems like a good deal? The 3K display seems good for non heavy gamers

How about comparing it to asus g15 3060, is that higher than 60w? Cant seem to find details on it all i see are 3070

I posted this on the other Inspiron 16 thread, but with the same i7-11800H processor and 3050Ti:

...I know it's not the same thing, but for "normal" editing needs can at least satisfy the "The Everday Dad" channel on DaVinci Resolve..

Same processor and GPU in "Can YOU Use the Dell XPS 17 9710 as Your Only Editing Computer?!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qAjH66ZIjo

edit: note that the intel Chips have full H.265 support. I don't think anything else has hardware support like that, according to Puget.

If Nvidia won't require the max-q nomenclature on their 3000 series laptops why use it in the title? Selling the laptop short when it's comparable to the highly popular G14 with the same exact GPU.

And this has a higher res screen

Pulled the trigger on the 3060, 1TB version. Good deal overall. Added 4 yrs accidental blah blah. Came to around $1700+.

Have been looking for a sweet spot (16GB, 512G+, 3K or 4K resolution, 16+ screen) and this killed it.

I don't think I've been seen anything with this sweet spot for the price (1300+) and I've been looking for a very long time. Not a big gamer but I need for occasion gaming plus video plus dev work needs.

Haters gonna hate because they are too much into gaming.

So does anyone know if this is using a processor or chipset integrated Wifi 6? The new H processors mention something along those lines.

No such thing as Processor integrated WiFi 6. It is still a separate card. Read my post which even has the name of it

One question though, what is the powerbrick this going to have? Would this have similar issues to XPS 2020 where the power draw is higher than input resulting to power drain when using intensively even when plugged?
