Was at Pepboys at spoke to the floor manager. Most Pepboys are closing down the store merchandising and changing into a service only vehicle repair shop. This is unfortunate as a long time ago their servicing was pretty good and so where their prices. Now however they follow the profit only and customer satisfaction could care less model of modern capitalist America and hire and fire at will, pay labor as little as possible so have no regard for experience and hire mostly kids that do not know better. So service is really hit or mostly miss, and their good pricing has mostly risen to market rates..
But this now means that all items on the floor are on close out. IN my area -Md,DC,Va - everything is currently 40% off, and the discount will continue to rise.
NOTE HOWEVER THAT THIS NOT INCLUDE THE PARTS DEPT OR TIRES.
